"Never the Twain Shall Meet!" is the title to the first story featured in issue #71 of the Flash Comics ongoing comic book series published by DC Comics . The story was written by Gardner F. Fox with artwork by E.E. Hibbard . It features the character of Jay Garrick , the Flash . This issue also features tales of The Ghost Patrol by John Wentworth and Frank Harry , Johnny Thunder by John Wentworth and Stan Josephs , and Hawkman by Gardner Fox and Joe Kubert . All stories were edited by Sheldon Mayer . This issue shipped with a May, 1946 cover date and carries a cover price of .10 cents per copy.
