- The Flash was created by writers Robert Kanigher & John Broome and artist Carmine Infantino. Often regarded as the first of the DC Comics Silver Age super-hero, he first appeared in Showcase #4 in October, 1956. He headlined his own The Flash ongoing comic series, which continued the numbering sequence from Flash Comics, and ran from 1959 to 1985, ending with issue #350.
