Description & History[]
The flame meter was just one of many technological devices developed in the laboratory of Reed Richards at the Baxter Building. Along with his pyrokinetic colleague, Johnny Storm, Reed began running tests on the meter to test its control value. He was interrupted when Iron Man used an image projector to cast a hologram of himself in the laboratory to enlist the Fantastic Four's aide in finding the Hulk. Reed indicated that he could not stop the experiment mid-way and quickly returned to the project before the flame meter's ion tubes had a chance to burn out.
