Firestorm, The Nuclear Man was an ongoing comic book series of the superhero fantasy genre. It was published by DC Comics and ran from March until November of 1978. Only five issues were produced. Firestorm, along with several other titles, were cancelled without warning as part of what has become commonly referred to as the Great DC Implosion. The unpublished sixth issue of Firestorm - The Nuclear Man was reproduced in black & white in Cancelled Comic Cavalcade #1. Firestorm's adventures continued in the pages of Justice League of America, Volume 1 and The Flash, Volume 1. A new ongoing Firestorm series began in 1982 and ran for one-hundred issues.
