Cara Dune is a fictional soldier and a supporting character in the Star Wars multimedia franchise. She first appeared in "Chapter 4" of the Star Wars: The Mandalorian live-action series on Disney+.
Biography[]
Cara Dune worked as a shock trooper for the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the final years of the Galactic Civil War. After the Battle of Endor, Cara performed a lot of "mopping up" duties, taking out fringe Imperial elements neat, quick and efficiently. When the New Republic began using former soldiers as peacekeepers protecting delegates and suppressing riots, Cara Dune lost her taste for the political motivations of the new government, so she took off for parts unknown.
Cara Dune eventually found herself residing on the planet Sorgan. She met a Mandalorian bounty hunter and together they protected the farmers of a local settlement from Klatooinian raiders who had ravaged the towns with their appropriated AT-ST walker. [1]

- The character of Cara Dune was created by director Bryce Dallas Howard and writer Jon Favreau based on concepts developed by George Lucas.
- Cara dune had a strip of red vertical stripes tattooed on her right arm. She also had the symbol of the Rebel Alliance tattooed under her left eye.
