"The Thing -- Enslaved!" is the title to the ninety-first issue of the first volume of the American comic book series Fantastic Four. It was written by Stan Lee and co-plotted and illustrated by Jack Kirby, who also provided the cover art. Inks were provided by Joe Sinnott and the issue was lettered by Sam Rosen. This issue shipped to retailers with an October, 1969 cover date. It had a cover price of 15 cents per copy (US).

  • This issue is the third chapter of the "Gangster Planet" storyline.
  • The name and characterization of Napoleon G. Robberson is taken from Romanian-born film actor Edward G. Robinson who is famous for performing in gangster films of the 1930s. One of Robinson's trademarks was punctuating a statement with the word "See" at the end as in, "I don't like the looks of him, see.", etc.
  • First appearance of the Mekkans - a robotic race represented by the character of Torgo.
