Notes & Trivia[]
- The Fantastic Four were created by writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby. They first appeared in Fantastic Four, Volume 1 #1 in November, 1961. By and large, the roster of the Fantastic Four has remained the same over the years, consisting of Reed Richards as Mister Fantastic, Susan Storm as the Invisible Woman, Johnny Storm as the Human Torch and Ben Grimm as the ever-lovin' blue-eyed Thing. Occasional transitory members of the FF have included Crystal Amaquelin, Luke Cage, Scott Lang, and T'Challa.
- This issue is reprinted in the 44 Years of Fantastic Four digital media collection, published by Graphic Imaging Technology, Inc. in May, 2005. It is also reprinted in the Fantastic Four Visionaries by John Byrne, Volume 5 trade paperback collection, released in February, 2005, as well as the Fantastic Four by John Byrne Omnibus, Volume 2 hardcover collection in December, 2013.
- The time platform presented in this issue is similar in form and function to the time platform used by Doctor Doom, which was introduced back in Fantastic Four #5. However, these are separate items.
- She-Hulk invokes the phrase "It's clobberin' time!" as a battle cry in this issue. This phrase is traditionally used by She-Hulk's predecessor, Ben Grimm, aka The Thing. At the time that the events of this story take place, Ben Grimm is currently adventuring on Battleworld, having chosen to remain there following the events of the "Secret Wars".
- Giles Peacock is the family butler of the Richards' family from Central City, California. This is the second appearance of the character. He previously appeared in Fantastic Four #271.
- Susan Richards actually refers to her husband as "Mr. Fantastic" in this issue. It has been a long time since anyone actually referred to him by his super-hero name.
- At this time, the She-Hulk is double-timing as a member of both the Fantastic Four and the Avengers. She can be seen concurrently in Avengers #249, along with Reed and Johnny fighting up against the Sons of Muspell.
