The Marvel Cinematic Universe version of The Falcon was created by directors Anthony & Joe Russo and writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. He first appeared in the 2014 film Captain America: The Winter Soldier. The Marvel Cinematic Universe version of James Buchanan Barnes was created by director Joe Johnston and writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.
