An evolved human is a fictional sub-race of human being featured in the NBC television programs Heroes and Heroes Reborn. They represent the primary plot points of both shows. Evolved humans were born as ordinary people, but through time developed inexplicable superhuman abilities. The nature of these abilities as well as the maturation and aptitude of the individual varied. Some evolved humans hailed from connected family lines. Some developed powers at a very young age, while others did not come into their abilities until later in life. A watchdog group, operating out of a company called Primatech monitored and controlled evolved humans for several decades. Some of the architects of Primatech had altruistic intentions, and sought only to protect those who might find themselves victims in the real world because of their powers. Others sought to take advantage of these beings for their own personal gain.
