Evan Hanley is a fictional lawyer and a secondary antagonist featured on the original daytime Gothic soap opera series Dark Shadows. He was played by actor Humbert Allen Astredo and first appeared in episode 708 in March, 1969. The character is associated with the "1897 Flashback" timeline.
Biography[]
Evan Hanley was a lawyer who was active in Collinsport, Maine in the latter half of the 19th century. If the evil-looking beard wasn't a dead give-away, he was also an occultist and Satan worshiper. Evan was employed by the Collins family and worked for Quentin Collins, who was also a close friend of his.
Evan Hanley was ultimately killed by the ghost of a landowner named Garth Blackwood.
