Ethel Peabody was a character featured on the FOX Network television series Gotham. She was played by actress Tonya Pinkins. She appeared in the second half of season two, "Wrath of the Villains", and the very beginning of season three's "Mad City". Ethel Peabody was a laboratory research assistant employed by Hugo Strange. She played a key role in the Indian Hill experiments, which resulted in giving Arkham Asylum inmates superhuman powers. Following a break-out at Arkham, Ethel was captured by Fish Mooney, who demanded that she cure her of a degenerative condition. When Ethel confessed that she could not cure her, Fish had her lieutenant, Marv, use his power upon her. Ethel's body instantly advanced in age to the point of death.
