"Gods and Men at City College" is the sixth issue of the first Eternals ongoing comic book series published by Marvel Comics. It was written and illustrated by Jack Kirby with inks and lettering by Mike Royer. It was colored by Glynis Wein with Archie Goodwin as consulting editor. This issue shipped with a December, 1976 cover date and carries a cover price of .30 cents per copy.
"Gods and Men at City College"[]
The Deviants' raid on New York City continues. Thena and Makkari zip around in Makkari's FTL sky sled and Then repels Deviant marauders with an anti-gravity blast from her spear. Civilian Margo Damian negotiates a truce with the Deviants, and as part of the agreement, they are forced to release their prisoner Ikaris.
Margo Damian goes to her colleague Professor Samuel Holden of City College, and asks him to act as a liaison to introduce the Eternals and Deviants to the human populace of New York City. Holden hosts a lecture at the college, in which he introduces an assembly of students to the Eternals and Deviants. The reception is met with equal measures of awe and fear.
Meanwhile, S.H.I.E.L.D. agents scale the Andes Mountains. They encounter the Celstial known as Gammenon, who looms large above them.

- The Eternals was created comic book writer and artist Jack Kirby. They first appeared in Eternals, Vol. 1 #1 in July, 1976. The first Eternals series was an ongoing title that ran for nineteen issues from 1976-1978. This was followed by a twelve-issue Eternals maxi-series in 1985-86, and a seven-issue Eternals mini-series from 2006-2007.
- This issue carries the approval stamp of the Comics Code Authority.
- This issue shipped to retailers on September 14th, 1976.
- The truce between Eternals and Deviants is formed in this issue.
