- Eric Braeden is best known for playing the role of evil Nazi officer Hans Gudegast in the 1966-1968 television series The Rat Patrol. He was credited under his birth name, Hans Gudegast, in the series.
- Eric Braeden was the swimming double for Kevin McCarthy's character Doctor Robert Hoak in the 1978 killer fish film Piranha. Braeden reunited with Escape from the Planet of the Apes co-star Bradford Dillman in the film.
