Environmental adaptability is a super-power which refers to an individual’s ability to adapt and thrive in varying environments. In most cases, this refers to particular alien races or sub-races whose natural habitat is different from that of the standard humanoid. For example, in many fictional representations of the mystical city of Atlantis, the location is populated by people who can breathe underwater and survive the changes in pressure of the ocean depths.
This ability may relate to other environments as well. In superhero fantasy fiction, there are many races and characters who can function at optimal efficiency in the vacuum of outer space. Others may thrive in environments where the atmosphere is of a different chemical composition than that of Earth.
