Enhanced vision is the ability to perceive objects outside of the generally accepted optimal range of standard human vision. There are different forms enhanced vision may take ranging from telescopic vision, microscopic vision, night vision and X-ray vision.
The DC Comics superhero Superman is not above using enhanced vision to see what color panties Lois Lane is wearing.
Many aquatic races, such as Atlanteans, possess some form of enhanced vision as well. This is part of their natural biology and allows them to see in the dark depths of the ocean where there are no night lights.
Martian vision[]
Martian vision is visual acuity possessed by those of the Martian race. It is eyesight that extends beyond the visible spectrum, visual acuity, and allows sight through most objects and barriers. Martian Vision is also similar to Kryptonian heat vision in that it can cause combustible objects to explode.
