Energy bats are a fictional alien creature featured in the 1985-1989 ThunderCats animated series. They were seen in episode 1x47, "The Mumm-Ra Berbil".
Description[]
Energy bats are native to the futuristic reality of Third Earth and are creatures comprised entirely of energy that assume a bat-like shape. They are the one creature on Third Earth that the ThunderCat known as Panthro fears.
Once, in an effort to destroy the ThunderCats from within, Mumm-Ra infiltrated Cats' Lair and took the form of an energy bat. He attacked Panthro who fought back with his nunchuks. Mumm-Ra dropped the illusion and showed his true form at this point.
