Emily Crane, also known as the Little Pale Girl, is a fictional murder victim turned demon and a secondary antagonist featured in the Terrifier film series. She was introduced in Terrifier 2 in 2022 and was played by actress Amelie McLain. Actress Georgia MacPhail served as a stunt double for the little pale girl.

Biography[]

Emily Crane was the daughter of circus performers and resided in Miles County, New York. At some point in the 2010s, Emily was viciously murdered by Art the Clown, also known as the Miles County Clown. Her mutilated remains were discovered though the perpetrator of the crime was never caught.

Through unclear processes, a demonic presence took hold of Emily's soul and manifested as a demented, inhuman version of the Emily. This "little pale girl", had blackened teeth and chalk white skin, similar to that of Art the Clown. She also had long hairs growing out of her forearms.

The little pale girl appeared to Art the Clown at a laundromat and Art became instantly enamored with her, and even played pattycake with her. He brought the little pale girl to his abode at the Miles County Carnival - coincidentally, the same place where she died. The little pale girl amused herself by watching static on a black and white television set until Art smashed it.

The demonic influence served as a guide to Art the Clown, pointing him in the direction of Sienna Shaw - a young woman who was destined to ultimately defeat him. The little pale girl targeted everyone Sienna cared for, hoping to weaken her spirit so that she could take bodily possession of her herself. Using Art as her weapon of destruction, she pointed him towards Sienna's friends and even her mother. The little pale girl used mimicry to imitate Sienna's younger brother Jonathan to bait Sienna into a trap. The little girl allowed Jonathan to perceive her visage, though up to this point, no one other than Art was aware of her presence.

Sienna fought against and defeated Art the Clown at the Terrifier attraction at the carnival. Art's head was reborn through the body of mental patient and previous victim Victoria Heyes at the Miles County Penitentiary. The demonic entity that had manifested as the little pale girl now took root in Victoria's body.

Abilities[]

  • Mimicry: The little pale girl could convincingly alter her voice to sound like another person.

Notes & Trivia[]

  • The character of Emily Crane was created by writer and director Damien Leone.
  • Actress Amelie McLain did not return to the role of the little pale girl for Terrifier 3 because she had aged out by the point and could no longer convincingly play an un-aging child. The narrative was constructed in such as way as to suggest that the demonic entity that had assumed Emily Crane's form had taken up residence in Victoria Heyes' body.
  • Emily Crane was 10-years-old at the time of her death.
  • Although not explicitly stated in the news reel, it is assumed that Emily Crane was murdered by Art the Clown. This database is treating Emily as a canonical Art victim.
  • It is possible that Emily Crane might be the daughter of the cat lady from the first Terrifier. This theory is purely speculative and is only supported by the fact that the cat lady mourned the loss of a daughter named Emily, whose identity she transposed onto a baby doll that she carried about with her. While it is entirely possible that the cat lady's Emily is the same person as Emily Crane, it is also highly unlikely given how Emily is a very common name.
