Biography[]
Ella Fontaine, also known as Ms. Black, was an (presumably) unmarried woman and an employee of the Umbrella Corporation. She worked at the top-secret underground facility known as the Hive, though her exact duties at this facility are unknown.
Ella Fontaine, along with several others were trapped in Lift Shaft 168 when the T-Virus contagion broke out in the facility. The site's artificial intelligence, the Red Queen, put the entire facility on lock down, which involved shutting down the lift shafts. When the elevator car was caught between floors, Fontaine attempted to pry her way through the doors. The lift started up again while she was only partially through, decapitating her. [1][2]
