Overview[]

Elise Rainier was a psychic from Five Keys, New Mexico, and was born sometime in the early 1950s. From a young age, she always had a "gift" for seeing ghosts, as well as demonic entities that tried to cross over into this plane of reality from a dimension that she would later dub as "The Further".

As an adult, Elise used her talents to help those who were being haunted or tormented by evil spirits. In 1986, Elise helped a child named Josh Lambert, whose astral self had become trapped in The Further. In 2010, Elise received a call from Josh's mother, Lorraine Lambert, indicating that her family was in trouble once again, though this time it was Josh's son, Dalton Lambert, who had become the target of the entities from The Further. Elise managed to rescue Dalton Lambert, but paid the ultimate price, as she was slain by Josh Lambert who was possessed by the Bride in Black. This was not the end of Elise's story however, as her spirit was able to cross the threshold long enough to help the Dalton family one last time.
