Hammer, whose real name is Eisenhower Canty, is a fictional theoretical engineer and a recurring character featured in comic books published by Marvel Comics. He first appeared in a flashback story in X-Force, Volume 1 #8 in March, 1992
Overview[]
Eisenhower Canty was an African American male who studied as a theoretical engineer, but turned his talents towards more mercenary exploits when he became part of a soldier-for-hire outfit known as the Wild Pack. He served with super-powered mutants such as Cable, Grizzly, and Domino as well as trained espionage agents like Garrison Kane and G.W. Bridge. During a mission that went wrong, Canty lost the use of his legs.
