Egghead is a fictional criminal and a recurring character featured on the 1966 Batman television series on ABC. Played by actor Vincent Price, he was introduced in the season two episode, "An Egg Grows in Gotham", as the featured Guest Villain. He made five appearances on the series in total.
Biography[]
Egghead and his consort Olga kidnap Commissioner Gordon and whisk him away in a hot air balloon. Egghead later calls Gotham City Police Headquarters to make his ransom demand. Batman answers the line and he demands .10 cents for every egg eaten in Gotham City. [1]

- The character of Egghead was created by director George waGGner and script writer Stanley Ralph Ross.
- Egghead is exclusive to the continuity of the Batman live-action television series. He has no direct counterpart in the mainstream DC Universe.
- Egghead made cameo preview appearances at the end of the episodes "Louie, the Lilac" and "Catwoman's Dressed to Kill", foretelling his appearance in the episodes that followed.
- Egghead had a penchant for shoehorning the word "egg" into ordinary words that sounded similarly. And that is not an eggageration. See what I did there?
- According to Batman, Egghead had an obsession about calling his targets on the telephone to taunt them.
