"Evil" Edward Thompson is a fictional high school student & vampire and a supporting character featured in the 1985 horror film Fright Night. He was played by actor Stephen Geoffreys in the movie. The character was re-imagined for the 2011 remake of Fright Night where he was identified as Ed Lee and was played by actor Christopher Mintz-Plasse. The character was re-worked a third time in Fright Night 2: New Blood, but this time he was played by actor Chris Waller. He is identified as Ed Bates in the film.
