The Scarecrow, whose real name is Ebenezer Laughton, is a fictional super-villain and a recurring antagonist featured in comic books published by Marvel Comics. He is primarily associated with the Avengers and Ghost Rider lines of comic titles. He first appeared in the Iron Man story from Tales of Suspense #51 in March 1964 titled, "Face-to-Face with "The Sinister Scarecrow!".
