An E-5 blaster rifle is a fictional weapon featured in the Star Wars multimedia franchise. It relates to the prequel series of films, and also appeared in episodes of the Star Wars: Clone Wars animated micro-series, and the Star Wars: The Clone Wars computer animated program on Cartoon Network. They first appeared in the 1999 movie Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace.

An E-5 blaster is a hand-held weapon developed by the Baktoid Armor Workshop. They were medium size firearms based on a design originally developed by BlasTech. The E-5s were standardized weapons utilized by the B1 battle droid models that were eventually conscripted into the Separatist Droid Army of the Confederacy of Independent Systems.
Usage[]
A phalanx of B1 battle droids engaged a squadron of clone troopers led by Anakin Skywalker during the Second Battle of Geonosis. The purpose of the mission was to distract the armed members of the Separatist Droid Army so that Ahsoka Tano and Barriss Offee could infiltrate a weapons facility on the other side of the bridge to destroy a prototype super tank. The B1s fired their blaster rifles at the oncoming soldiers, but a large measure of their fire was deflected by lightsabers wielded by Anakin Skywalker and Luminara Unduli. [1]
