Corporal Dwayne Hicks is a fictional soldier and a supporting character featured in the 1986 film Aliens. He was played by actor Michael Biehn.

  • Dwayne Hicks is the only Colonial Marine whose full name is revealed in the film. All of the other characters are known only by their last name and first initial. Hicks is also one of only two Colonial Marines whose first name does not begin with the same letter as the actor's name; the other being Lieutenant S. Gorman who was played by William Hope.
  • Corporal Hicks was one of the main characters featured in the first Aliens comic book limited series, published by Dark Horse Comics between 1988 and 1989. The series was published before the release of the 1992 film Alien³, in which it was revealed that Hicks and Newt died shortly after leaving LV-426. In keeping with the continuity of the films, the events of this limited series is considered apocryphal.
  • Hicks was unofficially promoted to the rank of sergeant following the death of A. Apone.
  • Dwayne Hicks was born the same year as fellow Colonial Marine Tim Crowe.
