A drug addict is someone who is addicted to drugs. This could range from everything including cocaine to heroin to methamphetamines and beyond. Drug addiction features prominently in media of the crime drama genre, but may also appear in other genres as well. As is often the case, drug addiction will have averse effects on an individual's physical and mental health and may even lead to death. To say nothing of what it does to an addict's family. Kids... be smart. Don't do drugs!
