Dracula is an American comic book series of the superhero fantasy genre. Yes... you read that correctly -- a superhero comic! When a flowing black cape and spiffy tuxedo is considered too "old world", then why not have the lord of vampires known as Dracula shuck all that in favor of a purple leotard with an open-face red mask with devil horns. Its got to be seen to be believed. The first issue of the series was actually a reprint of a U.K. title by Thorpe & Porter, but the remainder of the series featured original work courtesy of writer D.J. Arneson, artist Bill Fraccio and inker Tony Tallarico. The series was edited by Don Arneson. The series originally only ran for four issues, terminating in 1967. It picked up again in 1972 with issue #6, reprinting the second through fourth issues of the title.
