Dracula III: Legacy is an American independent feature film of the vampire fiction subgenre of horror, loosely based on the concept of Dracula. It is a direct sequel to the 2003 film Dracula II: Ascension. The film was directed by Patrick Lussier with a script written by Lussier and Joel Soisson. It was produced by Castel Film Romania in association with Neo Art & Logic and distributed through Dimension Home Video. It was released direct-to-video on July 12th, 2005. This movie sees the return of several actors from the previous installment including Jason Scott Lee as ass-kicking priest Father Uffizi, Diane Neal as Elizabeth Baine, Jason London as Luke, Roy Scheider as Cardinal Siqueros and Stephen Billington as the second incarnation of the vampire lord Dracula. Adding to the cast for this third installment is Rutger Hauer as the newest iteration of the reborn blood-sucker.
