Doreen Green is a fictional superhero, sidekick, nanny and all-around butt-kicker featured in comic books published by Marvel Comics. Best known by her nom de heroism, Squirrel Girl, she was introduced in the third story from Marvel Super-Heroes, Vol. 2 8 in January, 1992 titled, "The Coming of... Squirrel Girl!" The story was written by Steve Ditko and Will Murray with artwork by Ditko. Squirrel Girl has also appeared in alternative media including the Fantastic Four: World's Greatest Heroes animated series, and the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon series.
