"Baptism of Blood" is the title to the first issue of the fourth Doom Patrol ongoing comic book series published by DC Comics. The story was written and drawn by John Byrne, who also rendered the cover art illustration. It was inked by Doug Hazlewood, colored by Alex Bleyaert and lettered by Jared Fletcher. The story was edited by Mike Carlin with Valerie D'Orazio as assistant editor. This issue shipped with an August, 2004 cover date and carries a cover price of $2.50 per copy (US).
