- The Doom Patrol was created by writers Arnold Drake & Bob Haney and artist Bruno Premiani. The original team first appeared in My Greatest Adventure #80 in June, 1963.
- This series was originally intended to begin with a standard numbering sequence, and was advertized as such in early house ads, but was changed to continue the numbering sequence from My Greatest Adventure.
- This issue is reprinted in The Doom Patrol Archives, Volume 1 hardcover collection, the Doom Patrol: The Silver Age hardcover collection, and the Doom Patrol: The Silver Age Omnibus hardcover collection.
