Allusions[]
- The character of Ernest Franklin is adapted from a character who appeared in Doom Patrol, Volume 2 #45 in July, 1991. The comic book version of Franklin was a psychopath who hunted down and assassinated men with beards to compensate for his own hormone deficiency, which prevented him from growing facial hair. Yes... the comic book version of the Beard Hunter is even more pathetic than the TV version.
