Don Allen is a fictional super-hero and a minor recurring character featured in comic books published by DC Comics. As one-half of the Tornado Twins, Don Allen is associated with the Legion of Super-Heroes and The Flash line of comic book titles. He first appeared in Adventure Comics #373 in October, 1968.
Biography[]
Don Allen and his twin sister, Dawn Allen, were the children of Barry Allen and Iris West. They were born during a time when Barry and Iris were living in the 30th century, shortly before his untimely demise during the "Crisis on Infinite Earths" event.
When they grew to adulthood, the twins wanted to honor their father's legacy, so they approached a scientist who altered their physiology, granting them both super-speed. They began calling themselves the Tornado Twins and became contemporaries of the Legion of Super-Heroes. On their first outing, the Tornado Twins began committing various feats of heroism, which ultimately upstaged the efforts of the Legion. The Legion took some measure of exception to this, and their reputation began to suffer. The twins ultimately revealed the truth to them, in that they were the children of the 20th century hero known as the Flash. The two groups made up with one another, and the Legion offered them membership into their organization. Dawn and Don politely declined, citing that their powers were only temporary. [1]
