Notes & Trivia[]
- The tagline for this film is "Earth SOS! Both buildings and people are sucked up by the terrifying giant monsters!"
- In the United States, this film was released under the title Dagora, the Space Monster.
- Director Ishirô Honda is also the creator of the Godzilla film series beginning with 1954's Gojira. He directed several films from the Showa period, including various spin-off projects such as Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster, Mothra, and Yog: Monster from Space.
- Producer Yasuyoshi Tajitsu is also known for his work as an assistant director on several key Akira Kurosawa films such as Seven Samurai, Throne of Blood, and The Hidden Fortress, the latter of which inspired George Lucas to create the characters of C-3PO and R2-D2 for Star Wars. Yeah... this is sort of a step down for him.
- Dagora was originally a stand-alone creature with no direct ties to the Godzilla film series. He officially became part of canon continuity with the Godzilla Island series of mini-episodes in 1997.
