"Timelash (Part 1)" is the first part of a two-part serial of the 1960s British television series Doctor Who. It is the tenth episode of series twenty-two and the fifth story-arc from that season. It is the 636th episode of the series overall. The episode was directed by Pennant Roberts and written by Glen McCoy and featured Colin Baker as the Sixth Doctor. The episode first aired on Saturday, March 9th, 1985 on BBC1.

- This episode was included on the Doctor Who: Timelash DVD collection (Story 142). This serial was released by the BBC on video cassette in the UK in January, 1998. It was released in the US and Canada by Warner Home Video in September, 1998. The DVD was released in July, 2007.
- Paul Darrow, who plays Tekker in this episode, is better known for playing the role of Kerr Avon on the 1970s-80s British sci-fi series Blake's 7.
- David Chandler's character "Herbert" is none other than famous English author and futurist H.G. Wells. He also appears in part two.
