Synopsis[]
The Doctor and Yasmin Khan narrowly escape a booby trap orchestrated by Karvanista of the Lupari. As the canine Lupari are each species-bonded to a human, Karvanista journeys to Earth where he abducts his assigned human, Dan Lewis and brings him aboard his ship. The Doctor and Yasmin find that Dan's apartment and has been shrunken... and stolen! They trace it to Karvanista's ship and free Dan, whereupon the Doctor learns about the Flux - a cosmic phenomena that threatens to wipe out... well, pretty much everything. As usual, there is little time for planning and preparation as the Flux has already begun to work its way through the Milky Way Galaxy. The Doctor convinces Karvnista to have the inbound Lupari fleet use their inter-locking ships to form a protective sphere around the Earth.
Meanwhile, an ancient alien known as the Swarm, who has been imprisoned for untold millennia breaks free and kills his captors. He comes to Earth, where he reunites with his sister, Azure, who has been masquerading as an Earth woman named Anna. Swarm makes telepathic contact with the Doctor, who has no memory of their past altercations.
Elsewhere, a psychic woman named Clair finds herself being terrorized by a Weeping Angel.
In outer space, the Sontarans learn about the Flux, and overjoyed at the prospect of total annihilation. Commander Ritskaw signals the call to battle.
