"The Firemaker" is the fourth episode of series one of the British science fiction television series Doctor Who. It was directed by Waris Hussein and written by Anthony Coburn. It first aired on BBC-1 in the UK on December 14th, 1963.
In this episode, Za and Kal recapture the Doctor and his companions and bring them back to the tribe. The Doctor tricks Kal into revealing that it was he who killed Old Mother, thus turning the rest of the tribe against him. At the Cave of Skulls, Ian Chesterton shows Za how to make fire. Meanwhile, Ka plans his revenge against Za.
