"Episode 1" is the title to the first chapter in "The Abominable Snowmen" storyline from season five of the British science fiction television series Doctor Who. It is the fifth episode of the season and the 174th episode of the series overall. It was directed by Gerald Blake and written by Mervyn Haisman and Henry Lincoln. It was produced by Innes Lloyd.
