It is the twenty-eighth installment in the MCU and is the first sequel to the 2016 film Doctor Strange. It was directed by Sam Raimi with a screenplay written by Michael Waldron. It was produced by Marvel Studios and distributed through Walt Disney Productions. It premiered internationally on May 4th, 2022. It was released in the United States on May 6th, 2022.
