- "The day I accepted the mantle of "Sorcerer Supreme" is the day I tacitly agreed to put the danger to Earth from a resurgence of vampirism even above my own fears for... loved ones."

"The Vampire Verses"[]
With Clea unconscious, Doctor Strange punts her back into the Dark Dimension before she awakens and tries to kill him again. Afterward, he continues to search for Marie Laveau and his vampiric brother, Victor Strange. Divining that he might find them in Haiti, Strange opens a dimensional portal and brings Sara, Rintrah and Michael Morbius along with him.
Stephen Strange enlists the aid of voodoo master Jericho Drumm, and they go to Christophe's Citadel in Cap-Haitien. There they find Marie Laveau and Victor Strange and a recently created horde of newborn vampires. Brother Voodoo evens the odds by resurrecting the soldiers buried beneath the fortress and now has a herd of zombies to combat the vampires.
