Doctor Fate's ring is a fictional magic item featured in comic books published by DC Comics. It is associated with the character of Doctor Fate and first appeared in the eighth story from More Fun Comics #72 in October, 1941 titled "The Forger".
Description[]
Kent Nelson utilized a special mystic ring that had pyschokinetic properties. It was an oval signet set within an orange-hued housing. The center-piece was a polished crystal that could project an image of whatever Kent bound the ring to - in this case, his paramour, Inza Cramer. If Inza were ever in danger, or needed him for something, Fate would know instantly.
History[]
Inza had been visiting her grandparents in Centerport, while Kent was still in Massachusetts. She noticed some faulty bank statements and became concerned. Kent instantly sensed Inga's concern through the ring, and used it as an excuse to go see her (in truth, he really just wanted to eat her grandmother's elderberry pies).
