Biography[]
Dirk Lylesberg was a member of the supernatural race known as the Night Breed. He was a follower of Baphomet, and eventually became the leader of the Tribes of the Moon. Lylesberg was the keeper of the law, and administrator of the Night Breed's safe haven in the underground city of Midian. In the late 20th century, Lylesberg had the visage of an elderly man with long grey hair and an unkempt beard and mustache. He possessed three extra sets of eyes located below his regular eyes. His eyes usually remained closed and took on the appearance of gills running vertically down his cheeks. When closed, his eyelids appeared to secrete a red stain beneath them.
When the Shere Neck Police Department and the Sons of the Free staged a massive armed offensive against Midian, Lylesberg let loose a cadre of uncontrollable monsters known as the Berserkers so as to give his people a fighting chance. During the chaos, Lylesberg was shot in the head and killed. The Night Breed's newest officiate, Aaron Boone, who had been dubbed Cabal by the deity Baphomet, assumed the position of leadership following Lylesberg's demise.
