Description[]
Dire Wraiths are an offshoot of the Deviant breed of Skrulls. Having severed ties with their Skrull forbearers, they retreated to the Dark Nebula where they established a new home for themselves - Wraithworld. The Dire Wraiths developed into a matriarchal society that focused on sorcery. The female Dire Wraiths were grotesque flabby corpulent masses of flesh with a proboscis extending from the mandible designed for establishing a parasitic relationship with their prey. The male members of the species, more slender in size, focused their attention on science over sorcery.
The greatest threat to the Dire Wraiths were the Spaceknights. Led by their champion, Rom of Galador, they waged a prolonged and extensive war across numerous battlefields in the cosmos, including Earth.
