The Ogress is a fictional comic book super-villain featured in titles published by Marvel Comics. Her real name is Diane Davids. She is part of the mainstream Marvel Universe and first appeared in Incredible Hulk, Volume 2 #345 in July, 1988. The character was created by writer Peter David and artist Todd McFarlane.

Diane Davids was a lawyer from the town of Middletown in Arizona. She was one of only a handful of people to survive an explosion set off by a bomb planted by Samuel Sterns - the Leader. Diane Davids was exposed to high levels of gamma radiation, which altered her body chemistry, causing adverse physical mutations. After which, she became known as the Ogress.
