"The Thief of Night" is the title to the first story in the 529th issue of the first Detective Comics ongoing comic book series published by DC Comics. The story was written by Doug Moench with artwork by Gene Colan and inks by Dick Giordano. It was colored by Adrienne Roy and lettered by Ben Oda. The second story in this issue features Green Arrow and is called "Getting Up III: Lost in the Ozone". It was written by Joey Cavalieri and illustrated by Paris Cullins and Frank Giacoia with coloring by Nansi Hoolahan and letters by Adam Kubert. The cover art illustration was rendered by Ed Hannigan and Dick Giordano. Both stories were edited by Len Wein with Nicola Cuti as assistant editor. This issue shipped with an August, 1983 cover date and carries a cover price of .60 cents per copy.
