"There Is No Hope in Crime Alley!" is the title to the first story featured in issue #457 of Detective Comics, published by DC Comics. The story was written by Denny O'Neil with artwork by Dick Giordano, who also provided the cover artwork for this issue. The second story is a six-page Elongated Man tale titled "Make Way for the Elongated Woman!". It was written by Bob Rozakis with art by Kurt Schaffenberger.
