Detachable limbs represents an individual's ability to detach their limbs and have them operate independently from their body. In most cases, it is robot characters who possess this bizarre power. In the 30th century, an unfortunate man known as Arm-Fall-Off-Boy attempted to join the Legion of Super-Heroes. The police of the Legion's membership required that each applicant possessed an ability that was unique from anyone else currently on the roster. Although Arm-Fall-Off-Boy satisfied this requirement, the Legion decided that his power was too stupid to be worthy of serious consideration. A Knock-off of Arm-Fall-Off Boy known as The Detachable Kid appeared in the 2021 live-action film The Suicide Squad. During a beach-front assault on the island of Corto Maltese, The Detachable Kid sent his limbs to attack the oncoming troops, but this proved to be fairly ineffective.

Notes[]
- Removable limbs and Anatomical liberation both redirect to this page.
- By and large, this power relates to arms and legs, though may also apply to hands, feet, noses, ears... and dare I say it... genitalia.
- This power may work in conjunction with some form of invulnerability or accelerated healing. Usually, a detached limb will not cause the user to bleed out.
- In some cases, the user may detach their limbs by way of mental command. Others may require a secondary limb to detach the effective limb. The limitation of this is that only one limb can be removed; unless your Bender from Futurama, who miraculously found a way to circumnavigate this problem.
