Destroy All Monsters is a Japanese feature film of the science fiction genre. It is classified as daikaiju tokusatsu, which was a popular form of storytelling involving giant monsters, elaborate miniatures and considerable special effects. It is the ninth installment in the Godzilla film series by Toho Company. It was written and directed by Ishirô Honda and co-written by Takeshi Kimura. It was produced by Tomoyuki Tanaka and premiered in Japan on August 1st, 1968.

  • The U.S. version of the film trims two minutes off the final cut, coming in at a running time of 1 hour, 26 minutes (86 min.).
  • In the U.S. release, the timeline of the film is 1998, not 1999 as in the Japanese version. This is stated by the opening narration provided by Norman Rose.
  • In the English-dubbed translations of the film, Barney Miller star Hal Linden provided the voice fro Akira Kubo. Ted Rusoff provided the voice for Doctor Otani.
