Desmond was a bald humanoid demon with purple skin and pointed ears. He was associated with the Chaos Lords and served as the Major Domo to Mistress Nyx at her citadel within the ruins of the city. Through Nyx's instruction, Desmond manipulated events so that their enemy, Mordecai Pendragon, would be able to find the Lazarus Book, which was required to resurrect Nyx's mortal enemy, Vampirella.
