Krampus[]
Derek was a pot-smoking teenage boy and the boyfriend of Sarah Engel and lived four blocks away from her. During the holiday season of 2015, their neighborhood was struck by an intense blizzard that blanketed the entire town and caused a power outage. Unable to connect with Derek, Sarah attempted to walk to his house on foot despite the weather. When she neared Derek's house however, she noted a monstrous figure atop the roof that leaped off it and came thundering down. This was the mythological figure known as the Krampus. Sarah was unable to locate David, and ran to hide. Sometime later, her father Tom and uncle Howard went looking for her. They came upon his house to find it in shambles and unoccupied. Large beastly hoofprints were discovered in the snow surrounding the house, implying that Derek may have become a victim of the Krampus, which would be odd as Derek was not involved in the accidental summoning of the creature.
